The witness

Left…Right

LEft….Right

His head kept moving, as and when the vehicles moved towards each side. As and when the vehicles moved, he watched the roads. As it was not a popular road, there were mostly pedestrians.

Kids jumping and dancing on the street walking towards home. They chattered along, holding their parent’s hands and fluttered like a butterfly. It was an interesting watch for him, as it brought a smile on his lips.

He sat there in the same place witnessing all the seasons, facing the cold winds with a torn blanket and exposed to the harsh sun rays, yet he had that humble gesture on his face.

Everyone passed by him

Yet none acknowledged him

None noticed him

None gifted him

He sat watching all the lives passing on

He was the “Watchman”.
